It's Not the Size of The Hill....
This is where I grew up. I fell in love with skiing on this 250-foot “mountain”. What you see is what you get and that right there is the top - there really isn’t any more to it than that. In fact, even as you neared the top of the chairlift, the liftie at the bottom would still be on the megaphone yelling, “CHAIR NUMBER 30, PUT YOUR BAR DOWN!" The New Jersey Metropolitan area is the most densely populated area in the US, ranging from 20,000-50,000+ people per square mile. Th
Snogression Session
One of my goals this season is to land a backflip on snow. I dropped in at Snogression in Salt Lake City to test out my airborne abilities. The best part was the Snowflex ramp with "hyper-speed". It's as close to the real thing as you can get without rock-solid crash landings. #preseason #goals #snogression #flips #backflips
Moster Factory Episode # 1 : Waste
Who knows where I'll be in 10 years? I don't. I'm potentially missing out on years of significant financial gains by pursuing skiing rather than a higher degree and a conventional career. This could all turn out to be a huge waste of my time; this could also lead to something great. The future holds no guarantees, and the idea of "waiting till later" can only lead to regret. So bring on menial serving jobs and serious gym time, I don't know if it's worth it, but I know it's d

Dear "Adults", I Have a Bone to Pick With You
Dear “Adults”, Make up your minds already! …Seriously. Am I too young to know what’s best for me? Or, too old to go after my “unconventional” dreams? Am I a “child” who refuses to grow up? Or an “adult” who should “know better”? Is life so short that I’m really “wasting” my time? Or is there “so much more to come” that following my passions now is but a blink in the scheme of a larger life? Come on! I’m asking YOU. Out of love and good faith you’ve volunteered advice to no en

A Simple List
So I’ve been thinking about this idea of a resolution, or my own personal “Manifesto” if you will. To figure out what I want, I needed to understand what I wanted to change. I made a simple list. “Simple” was the key word. These simple questions merit paragraphs of answers, but the last thing I really wanted to do is reread my long winded answers (and whoever’s reading this, I did this out of consideration for you too). What did I accomplish? Ended the season on a healthy, bo

Starting Somewhere
I don’t make New Year’s resolutions. Not because I lack things I’d like to improve on, but because New Year’s is an unconventional time for me, it’s really the middle of my year. If it were up to me, New Year’s would come on May 31st when I’ve finally settled into the notation that the ski season is over and it’s time to start looking ahead to next season. That’s when I finally take a second to see what I’ve accomplished, where I’ve failed and what I want to change. The fact

Getting' NASTY
Over the past month I competed in my first crossfit competition, a team event series called, The Nasty North East Throwdown. For two Sundays and a Saturday, crossfit devotees from all over Northern NJ came together to test their strengths, and find out what it really feels like to kick your own ass. Teams ranged from seasoned veterans and competitive crossfitters to newbies who’ve only just recently been absorbed into the crossfit world and already can’t seem to get enough. W
